The Traditional Surfcasters are looking for a few new members. The club meets six times per year (Jan., Feb., April, July, Sept., and Nov.) on the third Wednesday of the month in western Suffolk County. The club is dedicated to the traditional approaches and philosophies of modern surf fishing as developed after World War II along the east coast.
The club is committed to catch and release and the pursuit of a learning curve in order to improve angling skills with lures in the surf. The club competes for awards internally and participates in the New York Surf Fishing Contest.
Since they are “traditional,” any social media use is restricted to various business and conservation activities. They do not post fish caught or fishing locations.
If interested, call (631) 422-5464.
