Get Out Fishing In Connecticut With Care This Month

Connecticut’s CARE program offers a variety of “Learn to Fish” classes and events year-round. These fishing events are designed for adults ages 16 and up, as well as families with children aged 6 years or older. The CARE program will provide loaner fishing equipment, bait, and expert instruction. A Conservation Identification Number (CID) is required to register. Participants ages 16 and up must have a valid CT fishing license. Participants ages 15 and below must also obtain a free CID before registering and have the option to register for a Youth Fishing Passport. A Conservation ID or a Youth Fishing Passport can be obtained by creating an account through their Online Licensing System.

There are several CARE events planned through the end of the month of July, if you or a friend might like to get in on one of these learning opportunities, check out the list below and register by following the corresponding links.
