East Jersey Chapter Trout Unlimited (EJCTU), a local chapter of the National Trout Unlimited, is offering an autumn 2023 fly fishing instruction for both beginners and intermediate anglers. The class will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning September 19 and running through November 7 at Wayne Fire House PLO#2 at Alps Road ramp at 970 Route 23 in Wayne for a cost of $85 .
“All instructors are experienced, chapter volunteers, longtime fly fishermen. Instruction in fly casting techniques, fly selection, fly fishing tackle i.e., lines and leader, knots, entomology and how to read a stream,” said EJCTU representative Bruce T. Halstater, who said all equipment is provided however using one’s own is encouraged.
