On December 13, the Hudson River Fishermen’s Association (HRFA) will host their first ever Fishing Gear Green Market starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge No. 1506 at 30 Spruce Ave in Ridgefield Park, NJ. HRFA is billing the event as “a rewarding opportunity to dispose of your new or gently used fishing equipment that you no longer want while having a shot at finding great bargains for yourself.”
Reserve a table (or two) for displaying your equipment for only $25 per table. Seller gets to keep 100% of the money for goods or services sold; an additional donation to the HRFA is always appreciated but by no means required.
“Nowadays it’s all about sustainability,” HRFA noted in a recent email blast, adding “Give your gear an extended life by selling it to someone who really does want it.” Or, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”
The event is open to all, admission is free, and HRFA members are encouraged to bring a few buddies. For more information go to thehrfa.org.
