It’s “Show Time” From Long Island To Lakewood W/ The Fisherman

It’s a busy week for The Fisherman staffers as we wrap up the 2023 show season with two events this week, one out on Long Island and the other at the home of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws in Lakewood.

On Thursday night, September 21, don’t the The Fisherman Magazine’s annual Fishing Tackle and Seminar series at the Huntington Hilton, 598 Broadhollow Road in Melville, NY.  The annual “Fisherman Show” on Long Island will cover inshore and offshore fishing as well as Northeast surfcasting which is what the event has traditionally spotlighted over the years.

Free with your admission is a seat at nine exclusive seminars from some of the region’s top fishing authorities covering surf, offshore, light tackle, inshore and travel, featuring Alberto Knie, Capt. John Paduano, Bill Wetzel, Comanche Surfcasting, and Chris Parisi, along with presenting staffers from The Fisherman including Jenni Ackerman, Dave Anderson, Matt Broderick and Jim Hutchinson.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event will run through 11 p.m.  The first 500 attendees through the door will receive a goody bag filled with tackle, along with a raffle ticket for great prizes; the earlier you arrive, the more variety you’ll find in your goody bag with items courtesy of Super Strike Lures, Spro, Gamakatsu, NLBN, Tsunami, Yo-Zuri, Fat Cow, Owner Hooks, Al Gags Lures, Fishbites, BKK and more. Also this year the first 200 people through the door get a chance to win one of two Tsunami Salt X Surf Tops being given away.

Then on Friday morning, we’ll be there when the Marine Trades Association of New Jersey (MTA/NJ) kicks off the Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo from September 22-24, 2023 at Shore Town Ballpark at 2 Stadium Way in Lakewood, home of the Philadelphia Phillies’ High-A minor league ball club, the Jersey Shore BlueClaws.

With boat inventory levels increasing this past year, there will be an even larger display of new boats and new models to board at this month’s Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo. There will also be a great selection of pre-owned boats unlike any other show in New Jersey. In addition, the boater’s marketplace that will be full of great deals for gear, accessories, marine equipment and services.
