The Jersey Coast Anglers Association (JCAA) will host their annual Sportsperson of the Year Dinner on Saturday evening, November 8th. Once again, the dinner will be held at the Captain’s Inn located at 304 E. Lacey Road in Forked River.
This sit-down dinner starts at 5 p.m. with cocktail hour and appetizers including bacon wrapped scallops, mini crab cakes, calamari and pigs in the blanket. A cheese and cracker platter along with bruschetta and toast will also be placed at each table. That will be followed by a dinner beginning with a house salad and stuffed shells with vodka sauce. Your choice of four entrees, either prime rib, a broiled seafood combo, chicken Marsala or salmon pecan, with potatoes and vegetables followed by dessert.
Coffee, tea and soda are also included in the $100 per person price, with a cash bar. JCAA has also assembled approximately 50 door prizes, 60 tricky tray prizes, and silent auctions along with a huge 50/50 for the lucky winner. There will also be some nice prizes for the ladies as well.
Sometime during the evening the annual recipient of the JCAA Sportsperson of the Year award will be given out as well.
