The Long Island Beach Buggy Association (LIBBA) has officially announced its newly elected Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 term, following a successful 2025 season.
Taking over as President is Cooky Rondinella, joined by Executive Vice President Frank Schortemeyer, First Vice President Joe Pellegrini, and Second Vice President Al Scardino. Nate Spence will serve as Treasurer, while Peter Brower steps into the role of Chairman of the Board.
The organization also welcomed a full slate of directors. Serving two-year terms are Chris Stawecki, Jim Stawecki, Jeff Collins, Don DeMasco, and Bea Noguier. One-year directors include Joe Gittleman, Peter Brower, Larry Pacifico, Barry Barone, and Fay Gittleman. Appointed directors for the term are Guy Bartolomeo, Brian Clark, Chris Galtieri, Doug Rulon, Lyman Green, Tom Henneborn, Joe O’Connell, Robert Sherry, Pete Longo, and Paul Noguier.
In a statement, Rondinella thanked the outgoing 2025 board for their dedication and expressed appreciation to members for their continued confidence in the leadership team.
The newly appointed board will guide LIBBA into the upcoming seasons, continuing its long-standing role in promoting surf fishing, access, and conservation across Long Island.
