If you’d like to fish with the pros, don’t miss the 8th Annual Ike’s Celebrity Pro-Am Bass Tournament on June 10 presented by Mike “Ike” Iaconelli and his Ike Foundation on the Upper Chesapeake.
The annual Ike’s Celebrity Pro-Am Benefit Dinner & Tournament began in 2016 with bass anglers competing for a BassCat Margay top prize. In 2017, a Hobie kayak division was added, with a trip to Hobie Worlds as a top prize. The bass boat division offers anglers the opportunity to join up with some friends and fish against the pros, or they can choose to be paired with random pros. Fish out of your own boat (up to two anglers) for $300.
In the past, the bass boat division has featured pros such as Kevin VanDam, John Crews, Ish Monroe, Chris and Trait Zaldain, Jordan Lee, Cliff Crochet and more! The official launch is 6 a.m. at Anchor Marina, 36 Iroquois Drive in North East, MD. Check-in will begin at 3:30 a.m. First Place is a new BassCat Bobcat with Yamaha motor, with cash awards for second through fifth positions. Countless other prizes will be awarded during the event from the likes of the Bass University, Gerber Gear, RAM Mounts, Mystery Tackle Box, Flambeau, Rapala, Spike-It, TH Marine, Power Pole, Rocky Boots, and more!
