New Jersey Fishing Flea Markets For March Of 2023

In between the multi-day events (Atlantic City Boat Show and Saltwater Fishing Expo), many fishing clubs and local nonprofit groups are hosting single day fishing flea markets in New Jersey this month.  These are terrific events highlighting local lure makers and tackle shops where you’ll find a variety of new and used tackle for sale, in addition to being able to book fishing charters in the season ahead.

On Saturday, March 4, the Fish Hawks Saltwater Anglers Club will host their 18th Annual Fishing Flea Market from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.at Lacey Elks Lodge #2518 at 900 Beach Blvd. in Forked River.  Admission is $4 (under 12 free with paid adult). For details visit fishhawksnj.com.

On Sunday, March 5, don’t miss the Manville Fire Company’s 28th Annual Fishing Flea Market.   Held every year at the Manville VFW Hall at 600 Washington Avenue in Manville, the event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is only $4 with children under 12 admitted free.  All proceeds benefit Manville Vol. Fire Co. #3. Another long-running fishing event in the Garden State is the 27th Annual Rahway Spring Fishing Flea Market on Saturday, March 18.  Held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at St. Thomas Church Hall at 1400 St Georges Ave, Rahway, the event features plenty of new and used tackle and fishing gear.  Admission is $5 for adults, kids 12 and under are free.   Visit fishingfleamarkets.com or call 732-381-2165.

And of course one of the main events for Jersey Shore surfcasters, the “The Original Plug Show” returns to Asbury Park for its 30th season on Sunday, March 19.  The Asbury Park Fishing Club’s 30th Annual Fishing Show will run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel at 1401 Ocean Avenue in Asbury Park (across from Convention Hall) and boasts one of the region’s top lineups of local plug builders.  Admission is $5.  For more information call 732-988-0121 or visit asburyparkfishingclub.com.
