On Tuesday, October 1, New Jersey anglers are back in black sea bass with the fishery reopened again through the end of the year. Starting Tuesday and running through October 31, the bag limit is 10 fish with a 12-1/2-inch size limit, while from November 1 through December 31 it’s a 15-fish bag with the same 12-1/2-inch size.
For those fishing back and forth across the border, remember that Delaware’s black sea bass fishery reopens on October 10 after a very brief closure to start the month, with a 13-inch minimum size limit and 15 fish bag. Meanwhile in New York marine waters, the size limit is 16-1/2 inches with a six-fish bag limit through December 31.
