New Jersey Seafood & Healthy Living Zoom Webinar

Interested in knowing more about New Jersey seafood?  Whether you catch it and cook it yourself or purchase at market or restaurant, knowing a little about local seafood is always helpful.  On October 14 and 28 in honor of National Seafood Month, Rutgers Cooperative Extension is hosting free Zoom webinars from 6:30 to 8 p.m. entitled “What’s The Catch? New Jersey Seafood & Healthy Living.”

Dr. Douglas Zemeckis, Agriculture & Natural Resources County Agent at Rutgers along with Lisa M. Calvo, Marine Scientist/Aquaculture Extension Program Coordinator at Haskin Shellfish Research Laboratory will host the discussion on October 14 with notable state experts reviewing various topics including the types of seafood harvested or grown in the Garden State, awareness of the responsible and sustainable practices adopted by stakeholders, and the science and management that supports the sustainability of the fishing industry and marine ecosystems.
