Founded in August 2025 by Detective Warren Hutchinson, the NYPD Fishing Club is reeling in a new way for New York’s finest—both active and retired—to connect beyond the badge. An avid fisherman himself, Hutchinson launched the club to share the joy of the sport, build camaraderie, and promote mental wellness among fellow first responders.
From chasing stripers in the surf to swapping stories at the dock, the club offers a supportive space where members can unwind, recharge, and form lasting bonds on and off the water. They’re currently seeking support from local companies and individuals, from bait and tackle donations to tournament sponsorships.
