Sunfish (bluegill, pumpkinseed and redbreast sunfish) are widespread and abundant throughout New York and are very popular with anglers. As such, they are an important resource for anglers seeking both recreation and table fare. The statewide daily limit for sunfish is currently 50 fish per day. Taking a moment to answer our survey will help DEC Fisheries managers better understand how the angling public views sunfish daily limits.
