NJ Fishing Flea Markets From January 7-21

The show season is officially underway, and that includes a full complement of fishing flea markets throughout the tristate area.  If your club, school or organization has scheduled a winter fishing event, contact [email protected] to see it listed in our monthly calendar of events.

The Garden State fishing flea market season gets off to an early start this month with the New Jersey Beach Buggy Association’s (NJBBA) “Pete D’Alessio Memorial” event on January 7, co-sponsored by the Toms River South High School Fishing Club.  The NJBBA’s annual fishing flea market in honor of D’Alessio runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Toms River High School South at 55 Hyers Street in Toms River.  There’s a special $8 “early bird” admission starting at 8 a.m., but it’s just $4 after 9 a.m. and kids under 12 are admitted free.  For more info visit njbba.org.

The following weekend the local fishing tackle vendors will be out at Lacey Township High School from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on January 15 for the Lacey Township High School Fishing Club’s 13th Annual Fisherman’s Flea Market.  Admission is $5 at the door, while children 10 & under are free.  Monies raised from the event go to help fund fishing trips, educational outdoor experiences and scholarships for students at Lacey Township High School located at 73 Haines Street in Lanoka Harbor.

And then on Saturday, January 21, the Delaware Valley Surf Anglers (DVSA) will host their 14th Annual Flea Market from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at VE German Club at 130 Davisville Road in Warminster, PA.  It’s a great place to find new and used gear, as well as collectibles and custom plugs from some the area’s top builders.  There’s free parking, great food and door prizes as well.  Admission is just $4, and kids under 16 are admitted free.  For details contact Joe Kelly at 267-918-4517.
