Were you lucky enough to get your 2025 mobile beach permit for the 2025 season? This year’s buggy permitting process was a little dicey, no doubt due to the sheer volume of new registrants trying to access their way through the online system.
And that means there are a lot of new 4X4 operators expected to hit the beaches of the Jersey Shore at some point during the 2025 fishing season. If you’re new to beach driving or perhaps just wish to pick up a few pointers, the New Jersey Beach Buggy Association (NJBBA) is sponsoring a Free Beach Driving Clinic via ZOOM on Wednesday, April 10 at 7 p.m.
Where should your tire pressure be set when driving the soft sand? What kind of gear do you need to have with you in your buggy? And what are the “rules of the road” when it comes to driving the beach? It’s all covered in this free ZOOM session presented by the NJBBA, New Jersey’s “keeper of the beach.”
