The NJSATFEST group – with Absecon Bay Sportsman Center’s David Showell, One Stop Bait & Tackle’s Noel Felciano, and AJ & Dman from Reelmaxlife, return again with another surfcasting event on Saturday, November 26 from 6 a.m. until noon. In a bulletin issued by AJ and Dman, the plan is to meet at the T jetty boardwalk entrance. “You can check in at 4:30 and tickets are for sale on the website now for $100 and they are $120 at the door,” the release noted.
First place with the longest striper and fastest time gets $5,000 in cash, second place earns $1,000 and third picks up $500. Tournament proceeds go to support the Pilgrim Academy Technical High School, a nonprofit 501c3 private technical high school that seeks to train up students in preparation for a career in the trades. The PATHS program has started a capital campaign to raise the funding needed to build a permanent pole barn structure to accommodate PATHS’ future education needs. “All proceeds from the tournament will go directly to the building project,” AJ and Dman said.
