The National Marine Manufacturers Association has hired Molly Drenkard as vice president of North American public affairs.
Drenkard will oversee strategic communications related to policy and government engagement on behalf of the U.S. boating industry. She will also oversee NMMA’s public affairs efforts in Canada. She will be based at NMMA headquarters in Washington, D.C., and will report to Ellen Bradley, senior vice president of marketing and communications.
“Molly brings deep public affairs and strategic communications experience to NMMA as we work to extend our industry’s voice and reinforce our commitment to working with government to promote the growth and sustainability of recreational boating in North America,” NMMA president and CEO Frank Hugelmeyer said in a statement.
Drenkard previously was director of corporate communications at Anheuser-Busch, leading public affairs initiatives, engaging with stakeholders, and advancing public policy and external reputation objectives.
