Time is running out to lock in your spot for the return of the Mighty Tog Championship. Boats Inc., J&B Tackle, and Grady-White have joined forces to host this year’s tournament on Saturday, November 7th, with the competition running from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Anglers have just under one week left to sign up and get in on the action.
At just $80 per person, your entry gives you a shot at a massive prize purse. The main leaderboard pays out $2,500 for first place, $1,000 for second, a $500 J&B gift card for third, and a $300 J&B gift card for fourth. If you land a winning blackfish weighing over 12 pounds, you will pocket an extra $1,000 bonus cash. Shore and kayak anglers have their own division competing for $1,000 in first place and a $500 J&B gift card for second. Special awards will also go to the Top Female and Top Junior Angler, who will each take home a custom J&B fishing rod.
Only one fish per angler counts toward the main standings, making every drop of the jig or rig count. For those looking to boost their potential winnings, optional Calcuttas cover the largest blackfish, best combined weight for three fish, and include additional species like sea bass, porgy, false albacore, and bonito.
The action kicks off with a mandatory Captains’ Meeting on Friday, November 6th from 5 to 6 p.m. at J&B Tackle, which will also stream live on Facebook. On tournament day, all fish must be weighed in by 3:30 p.m. at Boats Inc. Afterwards, anglers can head over to Dad’s Restaurant at 4 p.m. for the awards party to celebrate, grab some light food, and hang out with their fellow competitors. Soda and water are provided, and you can bring your own preferred drinks.
Don’t wait until it’s too late. Head over to www.reeltime.app/tournaments/mighty-tog-championship/2026/dashboard and secure your registration before the clock runs out.
