Photo Gallery January 2025 by Matt Broderick Eddie Zebrowski holds up a pair of big late-season tautog caught from the Western Sound of Long Island in 50 plus feet of water. This end of November striper came from the western South Shore area for Bennett. He used the Snap Jigging method to catch and release the migratory fish. While fishing outside of Jones Inlet, Jonathan Kampfer caught this 30-inch striper during the last fall run using a diamond jig. Up on the Long Island Sound in the New Rochelle area, Fatmir Ramaj caught and released this 12-pound blackfish, measuring out at 27 inches on an orange tog jig baited with a piece of green crab as bait. Eighty-year-old Jimmy Newman got in on a day of insane striper fishing out in front of the Robert Moses area on November 14. He was met with thousands of birds, blitzes and bait. And plenty of bass!
