The three-day holiday weekend provided some great action at the Jersey Shore.

Based on the reports we compiled for our September 2, 2024 weekly edition of The Fisherman, those hard tails did not disappoint.
Sitting at my desk again on Tuesday morning after the holiday, my inbox was loaded with reader photos from the three-day weekend. From albies and bones to doormat fluke and nearshore mahi, here’s a small sampling of our “unofficial” end of summer action.
“Some good action this morning,” said Bob Collins somewhere along the local beaches on Monday, September 2, reporting blues, fluke and a bonus bonito.
