June marches out like a lion, but summer variety has arrived!
Despite unseasonable cold ocean water temps to start the summer of ’24 at the Jersey Shore, quite a few anglers have already recorded a few impressive summertime catches. The prevailing southerlies have pushed warm surface waters to the north, causing cold “upwelling” from the bottom; as always, it’s up to anglers to adapt, improvise and overcome.
