Late-May and all of June have been very striper-centric for anglers across New England. With amazing bites firing up in western Long Island Sound, off Newport, RI, in the Canal and all the way up to southern Maine, everyone has been getting in on the action! But it hasn’t been only stripers. We’ve been getting regular freshwater images from anglers hunting trout and bass. The porgy bite has been quickly gaining speed along with other summertime bottom fishing mainstays: sea bass and fluke. If you would like to see you photos featured here, send them in with a brief description danderson@thefisherman.com and we’ll try to get them in as quickly as possible.
