Riptide Bait and Tackle’s spring striper derby is underway as of March 1, offering cash prizes for the three biggest bluefish, black drum, striped bass and tautog caught through Thursday, May 26 at 5 p.m.
Entry is $30, and all eligible fish must be caught between Absecon Inlet and Wreck Inlet (inclusive) on the beach, sod bank, or jetty (does not include the Atlantic City jetties). For those looking to drive the beach, you must have a valid Brigantine Beach 4×4 permit along with a Riptide Spring Striper Derby Pass to drive the entire front beach of Brigantine.
