Riptide Bait and Tackle’s spring striper derby is underway, offering cash prizes for the three biggest bluefish, black drum and striped bass caught starting March 1 and running through Sunday, May 20 at noon.
Entry is $30, and all eligible fish must be caught between Absecon Inlet and Wreck Inlet (inclusive) on the beach, sod bank, or jetty (does not include the Atlantic City jetties). For those looking to drive the beach, you must have a valid Brigantine Beach 4×4 permit along with a Riptide Spring Striper Derby Pass to drive the entire front beach of Brigantine.
