It’s April and striped bass season is upon us. With schoolies quickly filtering in throughout the month, the Saltwater Edge in Middletown, Rhode Island wants to help you celebrate in style. Come visit the shop on April 5th to kick off the season with a veritable circus of the striped bass. The shop will welcome sales reps from Van Staal, Shimano, St. Croix and more, there will be food trucks slinging an array of interesting and delicious cuisine, and of course the shop will be open, stocked and ready to meet all of your pre-season needs.
The centerpiece of the event will be the plug tent, located in the side lot with custom wood and tackle from many of the finest plug builders on the planet. There will be selections from Chris Voorhies, Surf Asylum, Gremlin, Guppy, GooGoo Man, Franktown, BigWater Lures, Paul Moriarty, RB Plugworks, 401 Plugs, Dave Manzi and more! The show is free to the public. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and end when the shop closes at 3 p.m. Plugs are sold on a first-come-first-served basis. You will also be able to renew your Fisherman subscription there and collect your free fishing pliers as our gift for signing up!
Remember, The Saltwater Edge has moved! The new location is right across the street from the old location and is now in the Stop & Shop Plaza, the official address is 1376 West Main Rd, in Middletown, RI. Don’t miss this one!
