The New Jersey Division of Fish & Wildlife will once again present its Sisters Afield program to foster interest and gain a meaningful comfort level with fishing among women of color with children. While this program engages women of color, all interested women with children are welcome.
The Sisters Afield program will be a “Hook and Cook Campout” running from August 25 at 5 p.m. through 2 p.m. on August 27 at the Pequest Natural Resource Education Center. Each family is responsible for their own camping equipment and meals, however Saturday’s dinner will be a group effort.
The cost is $30 for one female parent/guardian and one child ($10 for each additional child). Registration deadline is August 15. Get more information from the New Jersey Division of Fish & Wildlife.
