Suffolk Marine Anglers will be hosting a Suffolk Marine Charity Striped Bass Tournament in cooperation with Bergen Bay Docks in West Babylon on Saturday, June 6. Fishing will be from 6 a.m. (from your dock) with a weigh-in deadline of 5 p.m. at Bergan Bay Docks, followed by distribution of prizes. The entrance fee is $100 per boat, all of which will go to Island Harvest Food Bank. There are also optional Calcuttas – $100 for bass and $25 for bluefish. Calcuttas are winner take all, with tackle prizes for 2nd and 3rd. Striped bass winners will be based on total combined weight of two bass or a single weighed bass within slot limit. Boundaries are Debs Inlet to Moriches Inlet. There is a minimum of two anglers per boat. You can enter at Bergen Bay Docks through June 4 where you will receive a rule sheet and be asked for your cell phone number and boat information. You can also drop off non-perishable food for Island Harvest Food Bank when you enter. Social distancing will be in effect.
