Take The Fluke Survey For A Chance To Win Gift Cards!

Do you like to fish for fluke? Could you find a way to spend $50 at Cabela’s? If you answered yes to these questions then this survey may be for you!

Virginia Tech is conducting a research study to try and learn more about factors that influence summer flounder (fluke) population dynamics in the United States (IRB Protocol #22-804). By sharing your thoughts and opinions in this survey, you can help identify strategies to improve future assessments of the health of the summer flounder stock and work to improve the recreational fishing experience.

Your participation in this survey for a research study is voluntary and anonymous. They only ask that you answer the questions truthfully and to the best of your ability. There are no known risks associated with participating in this type of research and there are no right or wrong answers to the survey questions. And if you feel uncomfortable with the questions, for any reason, you can leave the survey at any time, no questions asked.

As this is an anonymous survey, your responses will never be presented in a way that they can be connected to your identity. However, the results of the survey may be published or presented in summary form after the study has concluded. As compensation for taking the survey, 10 participants will be randomly selected in a drawing for one of 10 $50 gift cards to Cabela’s. Your odds of being selected will depend on the number of participants. For example, if 50 people participate in the survey, the odds of being selected are would be one in five. The drawing will occur on December 1, 2023 and selected participants will be notified the following week via email.
