If you love striped bass as much as we at The Fisherman Magazine love striped bass, then we encourage you to participate in a brief survey being coordinated by the Department of Fish & Wildlife Conservation at Virginia Tech.
Led by Dr. Yan Jiao, this online survey is designed to gather valuable insights on the stock structure, migration patterns, and management strategies of Atlantic striped bass. Your participation as an engaged angler is essential to help shape future assessment models and management strategies for this vital species.
The first of two surveys is now live and focuses on angler knowledge and perceptions of striped bass stock structure and migration. A second survey, set to be released this winter, will dive into management strategies.
By taking part, you’ll helping contribute to the conservation of striped bass and offer critical advice to fisheries managers. All responses are confidential and used strictly for research purposes.
Point your camera phone at the QR code in the image included, and feel free to share this survey into with your fellow anglers.
