New boats and motors, tackle and apparel, perhaps some advanced electronics assistance or even booking a charter, these are all great reasons for attending one of the fishing or boating shows in the tristate region this winter. But so too are the seminars!
Once again this season, The Fisherman Magazine is helping coordinate the “how to” fishing seminars at various winter events, including the upcoming New Jersey Boat Sale & Expo, the Philadelphia Fishing Show and the Atlantic City Boat Show.
From February 13-16, the Marine Trades Association of New Jersey will present their annual New Jersey Boat Sale & Expo at New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center at Raritan Center, 97 Sunfield Avenue in Edison. Show hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $15 for adults, kids 12 and under are admitted free.
Fishing seminars at New Jersey Boat Sale & Expo are scheduled every day, 14 total through Sunday, covering everything from fluke, sea bass, stripers and tautog to bluefin tuna. Get $2 off your admission price and see the full seminar lineup at jerseyboatexpo.com.
Then on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, February 14-16, The Fisherman will once again play host to over 40 saltwater and freshwater seminars at the Philadelphia Fishing Show. A 100% fishing show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA, there are three different rooms dedicated to fishing seminars with some of the top anglers in the region.
Show hours are noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $12 for adults, $6 for kids aged 6-12, and free for those ages 5 and under, with free parking at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center located at 100 Station Avenue in Oaks, PA. Once again, The Fisherman will be manning two booths in Atlantic City (#143 and #726) at the Atlantic City Boat Show from February 26-March 2. Show hours are from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Adult admission is $18 online, $20 onsite at the Atlantic City Convention Center located at 1 Convention Boulevard in Atlantic City.
