Mikey and Amelia — Mikey and Amelia Johnson had a great day fishing off the North Jetty at Barnegat Inlet with dad Doug, scoring this 16-1/2-inch triggerfish on a piece of cooked shrimp.

john — Capt. Steve Spinelli had John Dubbs of Howell aboard the Skylarker out of Belmar in August, scoring his limit on fluke including this fine pair of fish. With the season ending Sept. 25 it’s time to hit the sticky stuff!

javier — Javier Fernandez got out on the first day of the one-fish bag limit return of blackfish on Aug. 1, snaring this 16-1/2-inch keeper at Shark River Inlet using a 3/4-ounce tautog jig baited with green crab.

rich — Rich Barber and grandson Huddy with a 7.29-pound fluke caught in Barnegat Bay on a half-ounce bucktail and a 4-inch white Gulp grub. Weighed in at Creekside Outfitters.

mike — Mike Mcguigan headed out of Manasquan in search of bluefin just days before the closure, but hit a couple of inshore pots and logs with light tackle and Hogy epoxy jigs, ending up with this 61-inch, 62.5-pound cobia.
