World Fishing & Outdoor Expo At Suffern Postponed

“With much regret and a heavy heart we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the 2023 World Fishing & Outdoor Exposition,” is the official word from Tod Alberto, general manager of SportShows.com.  “I’m sure this is very disappointing to all of you as it will be to the attendees that have been coming to this show for over 40 years,” Alberto said of the postponement of this year’s annual hunting and fishing show originally scheduled for early March in Suffern, NY.

Alberto cited price increases at the Rockland Community College venue as one of the primary reasons for the decision.  “The community college (venue) has increased restricted categories, gone up on rent 35%, and added additional box office fees (ticket share) paid by us,” he noted.

The good news however is that SportShows.com plans to bring World Fishing & Outdoor Expo to the New Jersey Convention & Expo Center in Edison, NJ in January of 2024.  The home of this month’s Saltwater Fishing Expo, the Edison venue offers a variety of upgrades for both exhibitors and World Fishing & Outdoor Expo attendees alike. “Much of what made Suffern great over the past four decades and is currently restricted at the college, will be allowed in Edison,” Alberto said, adding “The New Jersey facility allows us to represent all outdoor sports, much like the Suffern shows in the 90s and early 2000’s.”

Alberto said more details about the January, 2024 event will be coming in the future.  Get more information at sportshows.com.
