BOSTON HARBOR STRIPER SHOOTOUT

The Boston Harbor Striper Shootout is Boston’s longest-running, one-day tournament with proceeds benefiting the Soldier’s Home in Chelsea, MA. Fishing is limited from Cape Ann to Scituate with open fishing beginning at 12:01 AM on Saturday, June 14, and the final weigh-in due at the scale by 5:00 p.m. Minimum size for striped bass entered is 34 inches and only one prize may be awarded per boat and one fish may be measured per boat. A captain’s meeting is set to be held prior to the event and is scheduled for Friday, June 13 at 6:00 p.m.

Boston Harbor Striper Shootout Rules:

  • All vessels and crews must pre-register online at www.stripershootout.com or in person at Fishing Finatics in Everett, MA
  • Registration deadline 6 pm Captain’s Meeting
  • Captain’s Meeting Mandatory (6 pm Friday)
  • Vessels limited to four crew members
  • One prize per boat
  • Measure-in deadline 5 pm Admiral’s Hill Marina docks
  • Minimum striper 34 inches
  • One fish measured per vessel
  • In case of tie, win goes to first-in
  • Fishing from Cape Ann To Scituate
  • Participants are responsible for Taxes and fees associated with winnings

2014 Prize Structure:

  • 1st Prize: $3,000
  • 2nd Prize: $1,500
  • 3rd Prize: $750
  • 4th-10th Prizes: As assortment of prizes including rods, reels, gift certificates, boating equipment, etc.
  • **4th-10th place: One raffle will be drawn for a $500 cash prize

The entry fee for the 2014 Boston Harbor Striper Shootout is just $250 for captain and crew and $25 for each crew member and guest for Friday night’s barbecue.
