Over at Surfland the consensus was that there are still good numbers of bass along the south end of the island, but everyone is waiting and salivating for the moment that all those stripers chowing down in southern Maine begin to migrate into local waters. Bait guys are doing best, clams or worms on the bottom in the daytime or eels after dark. The river and Joppa remain slow. The bluefin that were raging offshore have moved, the little bit of bluefish action we reported last week, seems to have cooled off too.
