“September was another up and down month with the weather,” said Lou over at Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor. He told us after a good week of fishing a stiff bow shut the fishing down on September 20 and that was typical of the rest of the month. “Hopefully October will serve up some better weather and sea conditions,” he said.

“Well at least the weather was a lot better this past week,” said Lou Fligor over at the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor. He told us with the doom and gloom predictions for the weather on Saturday evening and Sunday morning, a lot of boat fishermen decided to take a shot at the fishing on Saturday and parking lots were full by 10 a.m. on Saturday morning. As to the fishing anglers had a nice variety of fish to fish for but most of what came back to the docks and cleaning station were keeper fluke and an occasional bluefish, Lou said.

Atlantic Highlands Fuel Dock The Atlantic Highlands Fuel Dock is open 7:00 am - 6:00 pm daily. Beginning October 31st, the new hours will be 7:30am to 4:30pm. Harbor Office Hours The Harbor Office is open 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday thru Saturday.
