“It was a better week of fishing, a better week of boats in the water and some better weather,” said Lou Fligor over at the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor. Lou said a good amount of boats slid down the ramp every day and anglers coming back kept the fish cleaning station busy with mostly fluke. He did mention some big bass being caught at the Shrewsbury Rocks and released and also of anglers singing the blues along with some better sinker bouncing.

“What a difference a week makes,” said Lou Fligor over at the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor. Last Saturday and Sunday it was hard to find a boat being launched. At least this week the word must have gotten out about the better fishing that broke open a mid-week, because parking lots had some cars and trailers and anglers were once again scrambling to get on the water. Lou said the cleaning station at the harbor got a good workout from Thursday through Sunday.

This program allows anyone who may have forgot or is in need of an additional or temporary Personal Floating Device (PFD) to use one and return it when done with their boating outing. The Harbor is conveniently located in town to nearby restaurants, historic downtown area where there are great shops, and the SeaStreak Ferry service. Atlantic Highlands Fuel Dock The Atlantic Highlands Fuel Dock is open 7:00 am - 6:00 pm daily. Beginning October 31st, the new hours will be 7:30am to 4:30pm. Harbor Office Hours The Harbor Office is open 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday thru Saturday.
