“Saturday’s gale force winds kept everyone in port and even a pair of ferry boats anchored inside the harbor,” said Lou over at Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor. Lou told me some boats that fished amid week caught stripers but the winds over the weekend made people think twice about going out. “It’s already the middle of April and a lot of boats are still not in the water,” he added.

“It took us a while to clear the debris at the marina that floated in from this past week’s storm and winds,” said Lou Fligor at the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor. Lou said this last storm put a lot of debris in the water and the northwest winds did the rest. Over the weekend the bay was still off color however by Sunday things were looking better and the first part of this week should see some good fishing until the weather turns sour again on Thursday, he said.

Atlantic Highlands Fuel Dock The Atlantic Highlands Fuel Dock is open 7:00 am - 6:00 pm daily. Beginning October 31st, the new hours will be 7:30am to 4:30pm. Harbor Office Hours The Harbor Office is open 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday thru Saturday.
