Belsan’s Bait and Tackle

Over at Belsan’s Bait Pete said most local ponds had 4-plus inches of ice and it seemed like everyone was ice fishing. They had positive reports from the reservoir in Scituate, Cohasset Reservoir, Jacobs Pond and bunch of spots in Plymouth and Pembroke. Catches were dominated by largemouth bass, with the largest going over 6 pounds. Lots of perch and pickerel in the mix as well. Shiners are sold out everywhere, we’ll see what effect the warmer weather this week has on the ice.
