Jackson from Belsans Bait and Tackle reported the early season trout fishing for both rainbow and browns has been great in Long and Little Ponds in Plymouth. Lily Pond has been giving up some decent pickerel landings. It wont be long before the first keeper flounder of the year is landed the saltwater fishing season gets into high gear. Jake told me that May 1st is usually the start of steady flounder activity. The store is open seven days a week and is fully stocked for the spring fishing season.

Pete from Belsans Bait and Tackle told me that state did an excellent job stocking the local ponds, streams and brooks this year. Trout fishing has been excellent. The ponds in Plymouth have been particularly productive. Long Pond is a great spot for rainbow, browns and even the occasional tiger. Early reports from the saltwater haddock fishermen were limited but very promising. Sea water temperature is still only around 40 degrees but things should start to change as the sea settles down after last weekends storm the weather turns more spring like. It wont be long before the first run of migrating stripers will be here. The store is open seven days a week.
