Another person that told me his boat had mixed results with the whitechins was Greg Hueth of the Big Mohawk III. Greg said he is not seeing the numbers of tog he normally sees this time of the year. With water temps still a little warm for this time of the year, hopefully things will change and the blackfish will start chewing in better numbers he said. That said, the boat will continue to run daily for blackfish.

I spoke with Greg Hueth of the Big Mohawk III who was in the middle to striper blitz in the surf over the weekend and he got in his last stripers trips of the fall and is now blackfishing daily leaving the dock at 6:30 a.m. So far the tog fishing has been decent but the mid-week storm really tossed the bottom up. Greg said conditions settled down over the weekend and he is looking forward to some good fishing this week.
