Vince at Bobbie's Boats reported that fluke fishing remains on the slow side, with lingering cold water temperatures keeping the bite somewhat subdued and keeper fish tough to come by. Striped bass action, however, has been much more encouraging. Anglers working the North Jetty are finding good success, particularly those fishing spot for bait. Bluefish are also scattered throughout the inlet area, with the best action often found wherever diving birds are giving away the location of feeding fish. Along the beaches, black drum continue to provide opportunities for surf anglers, adding another productive option for those looking to get in on the action while waiting for the fluke bite to improve.

Vince at Bobbie's Boats reported very good striped bass fishing throughout the area, with anglers finding success on a variety of techniques. Salted clams and live spot have been top producers, accounting for plenty of quality bass both in the bay and around the inlet. The inlet bite has remained particularly productive, offering steady action for anglers fishing moving water and structure. Outside the inlet, striped bass fishing has also been strong, with anglers trolling mojos and bunker spoons connecting with good numbers of fish. Large bodies of bass continue to move through the area, providing consistent opportunities for boaters targeting the migration. The fluke bite has shown encouraging signs of improvement as well. Anglers are picking away at more fish using minnows, squid strips, and spearing, with catches becoming more consistent as conditions stabilize. Adding to the action, bluefish are beginning to push into the inlet, bringing aggressive strikes and hard-fighting runs for anglers fishing both bait and artificials.
