Declan at Breachway Bait and Tackle said the lure of local ice fishing has taken hold of most of their customer base. Some really nice-sized largemouth bass have been caught along with plenty of panfish and pickerel. There hasn’t been much rod and reel action since about Christmas, thanks to an extended period of extreme cold. With the closing of sea bass, scup and tog, there’s no one really running party boat trips so, it’s pretty much ice or nothing at the moment.
