The guys at Campsite Sport Shop in Huntington reports good fishing in the Huntington Bay area this week. Striped bass and bluefish are slamming Storm Shads, Bass Assassins and Epoxy Jigs. Porgies and black sea bass are sucking down Berkley Gulp Baits and jigs. A few fluke remain south of buoy 13 with high/low rigs and Berkley Gulp nailing a few keeper fluke and weakfish. The store is carrying all the rods, reels and essentials for blackfish season; however, the store does not carry live crabs or any natural baits.

The guys at Campsite Sport Shop in Huntington reports a slight resurgence with striped bass post the severe low pressure system with the stripers slamming plugs, swim shads and Mojo’s on a troll. The Triangle area, particularly Eaton’s Neck has been most productive. Porgy and sea bass have also caught fire with plenty of action occurring at the Brush Pile and buoy 11 B. The duo are hitting small jigs baited with Berkley Gulp. Bluefish have been hit or miss while snappers remain active the docks and piers and are now being caught along the beaches employing small tins and Snapper Poppers.
