The guys at Campsite Sport Shop in Huntington report that the striped bass fishing has slowed quite a bit although there are some fish at the Triangle before sunrise with tossing poppers, trolling Mojo’s or using live porgies all producing slot size stripers. Fluke fishing has slacked off inside the bay with some larger fluke sitting in 50 to 75 feet of water along the rocky bottoms. Use bucktails dressed with Gulp or high/low rigs tipped with Gulp. Not much on the bluefish to speak of, however the kids are having a ball with snappers at the docks.
