Cape Horn Marina

Joe at Cape Horn Marina tells us there were simply “tons of flounder caught this week”. A lot of short fish were in the mix, but keepers to 24 inches were brought into the shop. Anglers tell us the hot bait this week was spearing, but live minnows were working too. Joe is keeping both in stock as it seems to be more of an angler preference than it is the fish’s preference. This week’s heatwave apparently got the flounder biting good according to reports from Cape Horn Marina. Several anglers reported limiting out while others managed just a couple of keepers while culling through two dozen short fish. Gulp, minnows, squid and mackerel all took their fair share of fish this week.
