Over on the Capt. Lou Fleet in Freeport Capt. Anthony Gillespie told me last Friday’s tile run saw many anglers drill a limit on fish to 22 pounds. The next 24-Hour Tilefish Special on the Atlantic Princess will depart on May 20. Anthony also has some 3/4 Day Back Bay Shallow Water Fluke Specials on the Lou VII set for May 21, 22 and 30. Over on the Starstream VIII Capt. Willie Garris said that flattie activity has just been okay. On Sunday morning 20 fares hauled in 12 keepers along with 100 shorts. White or chartreuse Gulp worked well. The boat sails daily on a half-day schedule from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, and 1 to 5 p.m. Reservations are suggested but not mandatory. Please check the website or call the office for information and reservations. (516) 623-5823.
