Capt. Lou Fleet

Capt. Mike Danon of the Capt. Lou Fleet in Freeport told me there was a lot of action this week with fluke. Fares on board had fish to 6 pounds. Striped bass and bluefish action was great on the Mama Lou. Reserve now, as there is still plenty of room for Father’s Day!

Capt. Mike Danon of the Capt. Lou Fleet in Freeport told me that their half-day trips for fluke sail daily on the Starstream VIII at 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Action has been pretty good with keepers and shorts keeping rods bent. Capt. Anthony on the Atlantic Pearl told me that the tilefish bite is rock solid. He has two Ultra Limited Canyon Golden and Blueline Tilefish Excursions scheduled for June 9 and 19 departing at 12:01 a.m. Keep your eyes on the website as more tilefish dates are being added. Sea bass trips will sail at 6 a.m. on weekends on June 7 and 14. Reservations are required. Also, keep your eyes on the Trip Calendar for Evening Bass trips that will depart at 7 p.m. on the Mama Lou. You can book trips online at www.captloufleet.com or call (516) 623-5823.
