At Captree Bait and Tackle, I heard striped bass really picked up this week with anglers scoring near Demo and along Cedar. Diamond Jigs have worked best, but the early morning a.m. bite has been best. With blackfish season starting the shop will carry green crabs and blackfish rigs. Fluke action was very quiet this past week, and with it closing Thursday, it ended up being a good season for most.

At Captree Bait and Tackle, I heard the bass action picked up this week, with action in the inlet best. Anglers also had fish at the Moses Bridge too. Poppers, soft plastics, chunks and live eels. Larger fluke are moving towards and through the inlet with more keepers in the mix. Albies are just outside the inlet – tins and epoxy jigs are best.
