Dockside Cafe and Marina reports that there is some decent striper action in Great Bay on live eels and live spot. These fish have been ranging in size from shorts to keepers with a couple of “overs” mixed in as well. The larger stripers are still to the north and customers report a good trolling bite off of LBI. Tog action in the bay has slowed down just a bit, but the oceanfront jetties and nearshore wrecks are still producing plenty of keeper tog. As the temperature drops and the winds pick up, many anglers find refuge by heading up the rivers and creeks in search of white perch. The bite has been good with fish starting to congregate in the deeper holes and are being caught on bloodworms.

Anglers with Dockside Cafe and Marina report that the striper action has been pretty good this past week in the bays and in the Mullica. Fish from shorts to “overs” were being caught along the sod banks from Tuckerton Bay all the way to Absecon Bay. We heard that anglers scored on live baits like eels and spot, but also on topwater spooks and rubber shads. In the Mullica, there are some much larger fish being caught, and this has been reported by anglers throwing hard and soft plastics, as well as anglers trolling mojos.
