Capt. Tom Logan of Fish Trap Sportfishing reported that the boat is about ready for the season, and he should hopefully start fishing this coming weekend. From the reports that Capt. Tom has been hearing squid have moved in along the beaches and fluke shouldn’t be too far behind. There are also some striped bass starting to show up on the reefs and along the beaches. Capt. Tom has some dates still available on the calendar for this season so give him a call if you would like to reserve either an inshore or offshore trip.

Capt. Tom Logan of Fish Trap Sportfishing made good progress on the boat this past weekend and should start looking around the local reefs for striped bass soon. Based on reports that Tom has been hearing there are a few bass starting to show up on the reefs and along the beaches and more should be arriving each day. Squid don’t seem to have moved in locally yet, but they should be here soon and hopefully fluke will start to move in with them. Fishing will really start to pick up towards the middle of May when Capt. Tom plans to start running charters.

Capt. Tom Logan of Fish Trap Sportfishing said that he probably has another week or so before the boat will be ready to start fishing. From the few reports that Capt. Tom has been hearing, striped bass are just starting to show up along the beaches and tautog are starting to get more active locally. Once the boat is ready, they will likely take a look around for some cod or tautog or maybe even take a run offshore to get some tilefish if the weather cooperates.
