Capt. Walter on the Fishfinder II reported fluke action is good in the bay and ocean, with good action in both. The ocean action has been centered around the 50 to 75-foot depths with rough bottom producing fish from 5 to 6 pounds. Sea bass, triggerfish, red hake and porgies have also mixed in with the fluke. Plenty of shorts are also keeping rods bending. The bay has seen keepers and shorts with pool fish going 6 pounds daily. The afternoon bluefish trips earlier in the week produced fish from 1 to 5 pounds on small soft plastics and jigs. The prime tide fluke trips saw keepers to 5 pounds.

Capt. Walter on the Fishfinder II reported the ocean reef action was good this week with fluke to 6 pounds coping the pool. Anglers also saw a mix of keeper sea bass, big porgies and ling come over the rails. The bay fishing is getting stronger as fares had pool fish to 6 in the bay, with plenty of shorts and keepers to go along. Afternoon bluefish action was real good earlier in the week on fish from 2 to 5 pounds, but did slow slightly towards the weekend with the heavier boat traffic. The late night trips saw slot sized keepers and some short bass on live eels.
