Golden Eagle Fishing

I spoke to Capt. Lenny of the Golden Eagle on October 18 and he told us the weather forecast did not look good for the entire third week of October and he did not think the boat would be fishing the entire third week because of yet another predicted nor’easter. When the boat resumes fishing it will be for striped bass the entire month of November. He advises anglers to call the boat for current sailing schedule.

I spoke with Lenny over at the dock of the Golden Eagle and he told me Saturday’s trip picked away at small blues and weakfish just off the beaches. He said after patrons had enough blues and weakfish he switched the boat over to bottom with anglers picking through the shorts for limits and near limits of knuckleheads. Looks like we are going to get a couple of days off courtesy of Mother Nature Lenny said about the approaching nor’easter.
