Golden Eagle Fishing

?Even with the Tuesday-Wednesday rains and wind we still had a very good week of striped bass fishing,? cited Capt. Rich Falcone of the Golden Eagle. Rich said if you would have told him in the beginning of the season that he would still be fishing for stripers and catching the kind of numbers of fish he is catching in December he would not have believed it. We will continue to fish for the linesiders until either the fish move on or we can?t get enough anglers to fish, he said,

?Except for the weather interruption on Tuesday we had some very good striped bass fishing with some jumbo bluefish mixed in,? said Capt. Rich Falcone of the Golden Eagle and Victoria Marie. Rich said most of the fishing is starting to move down the beaches but he only had to go as far as Manasquan to get into the fish, a mix of shorts, slots, keepers and some overs. Hopefully the fishing will be as good this coming week, he said. He also mentioned that the boat will be doing its weekly offshore bottom fishing trip this week and has spots open.
