Jersey Devil Marina

White perch action has been very good this week according to Wally at Jersey Devil Marina. The fish have been congregated in the deeper holes, usually where a creek dumps into the river, or even along the sharper bends of the creeks. Grass shrimp and bloodworms have been the best baits for putting together a nice stringer of fish. Crabbing in the river, especially below Lower Bank has been very good this week. The crabs are now both plentiful, large and heavy. Towards the mouth of the river, there are still some stripers being caught by anglers fishing with live eels.

Wally at Jersey Devil Marina tells us that the lower part of the Mullica was seeing a decent flounder bite with fish to 23 inches. The fish were falling for live spot, minnows, spearing and all types of Gulp. Crabbing is on the upswing with the crabs being caught right now in Lower Bank on the jumbo size. All throughout the river there are plenty of white perch. They are feeding aggressively and taking not only bloodworms and grass shrimp, but also small jigheads tipped with cully tail grubs.
