Its bad enough we have had to put up with the insane weather, high winds and poor water conditions this spring, to ad insult to injury someone broke into the store this past week and did a couple thousand dollars worth of damage, lamented Steve over at Julians Bait & Tackle. On the fishing scene while there are bass being caught, mainly in the back waters, most of the bay had a brown tinge to it until about mid week. We just simply need a brake in the weather, Steve said.

I spoke with Steve over at Julians Bait & Tackle over the weekend and he said the bay still had not settled down and the stiff northwest winds were not helping. Steve was another person that told us there are plenty of stripers in the bay and surrounding waters and if the weather settles down the fishing will really explode. Another thing the weather has done is cut into the bait supply. The diggers in Maine could not dig worms and the local boats could not net for bunker. We should have both bunker and worms this coming week, Steve added,
