King Cod VII

June 08, 2026 - 11:16:39

On the King Cod VII out of Captree I heard from Capt. Joe reported that ocean sea bass jigging really picked up steam this week. Easy limits of nice sea bass to 18 inches and larger were caught by fares on Diamond Jigs and bait. A couple porgies, and more fluke are mixed in every day. They sail daily at 6a.m. from the right side of the dock. Ocean sea bass and fluke on tap daily, with no reservations needed. Text 631-605-1404 for the latest news and sailing information

On the King Cod VII out of Captree I heard from Capt. Joe who said bay fluking didn't miss a beat this week. Nice fluke are still up in the back bays, with the largest of the week checking in at just an ounce shy of 7 pounds. Plenty of keepers with most angler's onboard managing to go home with dinner. A few weakfish and small blues also came over the rail. The only thing that slowed trips down some was some very windy days where it was just better to stay tied up. It looks like bay fishing the next few days while it's good. The boat sails full day. 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sailing from the far right side of the dock. Text Capt. Joe at 631-605-1404 for all the latest.
